SATURDAY, SEPT 29TH

Session 1, Sept 29th: Dr. Ian Billinghurst - Back to Basics Raw Nutrition - The REAL Meaning of RAW - The major problems associated with fake food - The irrelevance of AAFCO to RAW - Evolutionary Nutrition for the dog and cat.
Session 2, Sept 29th: Dr. Robert Silver - Medical Cannabis: What Every Veterinarian Needs to Know. Canada will become Federally legal for the use of recreational cannabis summer of 2018 and has had medical marijuana legislation for many years. Canada is also the second-largest grower of hemp globally. For these reasons, it behooves Canadian veterinarians to learn more about this fascinating herb and the endocannabinoid system it serves in all animals, as primitive as the Sea Squirt and as complex as the human being.
Session 4, Sept 29th: Dr. Marty Goldstein - A general overview of the trends I have witnessed and literally how bad “Health” has gotten in our domesticated animals - Contributing factors as to why. - In relationship to health, what is disease? What is its purpose?
Session 5, Sept 29th: Dr. Ian Billinghurst - Constructing RAW prescription diets for various conditions - The Role of pathogens in RAW Food — an essential part of the Microbiome - Balanced calcium & Phosphorus — simple — not difficult!
Session 6, Sept 29th: Dr. Robert Silver - Cannabis for Cancer? What if cannabis cured cancer? Well from all indications, reports from the field and research studies it appears that cannabis can treat cancer, many times very successfully. Research supporting the anti-neoplastic effect of cannabis and including case reports from the field will be presented in this fascinating class.

Session 1, Sept 30th: Dr. Marty Goldstein - Supplements—what are they or what should they be. Are they needed, even for healthy pets? How to chose? - Cancer—what it is—a basic understanding and cause. How to address it, integratively. How to prevent it. - On a higher level—the human-animal bond.
Session 2, Sept 30th: Dr. Robert Silver - Integrative Oncology: Blending the Best of Conventional and Integrative Medicine to Produce the Very Best Outcomes for Your Cancer Patients. Conventional medicine has made huge strides in developing less toxic, more effective therapeutics for veterinary cancer patients. Unfortunately, not all patients will respond to these therapies. Many pet guardians can’t afford these therapies or won’t accept chemotherapy or radiation. Integrative Oncology involves building a team that includes oncologists(s), integrative and conventional veterinarians, and other caregivers such as Pet Hospice workers and grief therapies to provide a broad-spectrum of care for the veterinary cancer patient.
