FEEDING YOUR DOG
Carnivora™ products are intentionally made to keep feeding your pets pure and simple. Dogs thrive on fresh, Species Appropriate™ diets that match their natural needs. Whether you’re starting a puppy, feeding an adult, or supporting a senior, everything you need is right here on one page.
Puppy Feeding
Why puppies need more: growth, brain and bone development, and a building immune system all demand extra energy and nutrients.
How much to feed
- 8–12 weeks: ~6–8% of current body weight per day
- 3–6 months: ~5–7% per day
- 6–12 months: ~3–5% per day (adjust for breed/size)
Tips: 3–4 small meals/day at first, then taper to 2 meals as your puppy matures. Adjust portions if ribs/waistline suggest over- or under-feeding.

Adult Dogs
Senior Dogs
- Consider camelina or fish oil, and probiotics
- Keep meals smaller if your senior prefers
- Monitor weight and mobility monthly

Go slow and introduce one protein at a time.
Variety is KEY
- Rotate proteins (beef, poultry, lamb, etc.) to round out natural nutrients
- Include oily fish or oils for omega-3 support
- Use our optional add-ons or add healthy foods and supplements to personalize as needed
The idea that one food can be “complete and balanced” is a myth. At Carnivora™, we know that true balance comes from variety and rotation—just as nature intended. Over time, feeding a variety of whole raw foods provides the full range of nutrients your dog or cat needs for lifelong health. Our mission is to offer you the building blocks of optimal nutrition through a diverse selection of Species Appropriate™ foods, empowering you to nourish your companions the way nature designed.
Signs you’re feeding the right amount
- Steady, ideal weight and visible waistline
- Regular, well-formed stools
- Healthy skin and a shiny coat
What if my dog won’t eat raw right away?
Serve at room temperature, add a splash of warm water, or crumble a bit of Freeze-Dried Pixies as a topper. Keep mealtimes calm and consistent.
Can I mix raw with kibble?
Many owners do during transition. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, feed raw and kibble in separate meals at first.
Is raw safe?
Follow basic kitchen hygiene, store frozen, thaw in the fridge, and keep bowls/tools clean. Carnivora™ products are handled under strict Canadian regulations and flash-frozen for freshness.
